About our writers

Articles on Your Daily Science are written by the Ink Horses editorial team with the help of AI: Claude, made by Anthropic, researches and drafts each article from pages it opens and reads while writing. Ink Horses is owned and operated by Picnic Player, a sole proprietorship in Tel Aviv.

How an article is made

  1. We choose a topic: a question readers search for, a story in the news, or the subject of one of our interactive pages.
  2. The AI opens and reads sources: official records, reference works, research, news reports and the works themselves. Every page it used is listed at the end of the article, with the date it was last checked.
  3. It writes the article from those sources and links our related articles. Pictures come from free-licence collections such as Wikimedia Commons, NASA, Openverse, Unsplash and Pexels, each with its credit.

What is checked before publishing

Every new article passes automated checks before it goes live. They confirm that:

  • every source listed at the end was opened while the article was written;
  • the article is not a near-copy of another article on Your Daily Science;
  • every picture carries its credit and licence;
  • the article carries the AI note and, where a franchise is discussed, a trademark notice;
  • it has a byline, a publication date and a length within our range.

No person reads each article before it is published, so we rely on readers too.
