Privacy policy
Your Daily Science (yourdailyscience.com) is part of Ink Horses and is owned and operated by Picnic Player, a sole proprietorship in Tel Aviv (“we”, “us”). This policy explains what information we and our partners handle when you visit this site.
Information you give us
If you email us, we receive your email address and whatever you choose to include in your message. We use it only to reply to you and keep it only as long as needed for that conversation. The site has no accounts and does not ask you for personal information.
Information stored on your device
Some features save things such as your saved list, your progress or your quiz answers in your browser’s local storage so they are still there on your next visit. This stays on your device. We do not receive it, and you can clear it at any time in your browser settings.
AI features
Some features include an AI companion, always labelled as AI. When you use one, the text you type is sent through our server to Anthropic, which generates the reply. Our network provider, Cloudflare, may log and temporarily cache these requests to deliver the service and prevent abuse. Please do not type personal or sensitive information into these features.
Hosting and security
Our hosting and network provider, Cloudflare, processes technical information such as your IP address and browser details to deliver pages to you and protect the site from attacks.
Advertising and cookies
This site is set up to show advertising served by Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies and similar technologies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites, and to measure how ads perform.
- Google’s use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to this site and other sites on the internet.
- You can opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of some third-party vendors’ use of cookies for personalised advertising at www.aboutads.info.
- Learn more in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, we ask for your consent through a consent message before cookies or similar technologies are used for personalised ads or ad measurement. You can change your choice at any time using the privacy settings link where it is shown. If you decline, you may still see ads, but they will not be personalised.
Meta (Facebook and Instagram)
We advertise this site on Facebook and Instagram, which are run by Meta Platforms. When you arrive by tapping one of our ads, the link carries the numbers of that ad, its ad set and its campaign. The site keeps these numbers in your browser’s session storage until you close the tab and includes them in anonymous usage counts, so we can see which ads bring visitors who enjoy the site. They do not identify you.
Some pages may also use the Meta Pixel, code from Meta that tells Meta when a visit or an action on the site followed one of our ads, so we can measure and improve our ads. When it runs, Meta receives technical information such as your IP address, browser details and the page you visited, may set its own cookies, and handles this under the Meta Privacy Policy. If you are in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom or Switzerland, the Meta Pixel loads only after you agree in the consent message. You can control how Meta uses this information for ads in your Meta ad preferences.
Google Analytics
We use Google Analytics, a service of Google, to count visits and see which pages and features people use, so we can improve the site. It receives information such as the pages you view, how you reached the site, your browser and device type and your approximate location, and it may set its own cookies. In the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom and Switzerland it stores nothing on your device until you agree in the consent message; before that Google receives only basic signals without cookies. You can stop it with Google’s opt-out browser add-on, and Google explains how it handles this data in How Google uses information from sites or apps that use its services.
Children
This site is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us personal information, contact us and we will delete it.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, including under the EU and UK GDPR and Israeli privacy law, you may have the right to access, correct or delete personal information we hold about you, or to object to how we use it. To make a request, email [email protected] with “Privacy” in the subject line.
Changes
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page.
