The last chapter is yours. First you rank the strangest stories from the whole set: the searchlights over Los Angeles, the Roswell balloon, the Washington radar blips, Shag Harbour, Rendlesham Forest, Ariel School, the Wow! signal and the Tic Tac. Then you can put up to three questions to the Sky Desk, which is written live by AI and given only the checked facts from these stories; it is told to say when something is not known, to present what witnesses said as their account, and to keep its answers short. After that comes a what-if scene, also written by AI: you sit at a radar screen on a quiet night shift, find shiny wreckage on your farm, or explain a famous photo on live television, and the scene plays out from there. These scenes are fiction and use no real names. Finally you make your UFO file card, which shows your reader type from the first chapter, how many of the guesses you got right, your top three strangest stories and your ratings, ready to save as a picture or share. Links at the end lead to our longer articles on Roswell and Shag Harbour and to Real or Rigged.
20 UFO Sightings and What Really Happened is a set of true stories in six short chapters, each on its own page. Tap the right side of the screen for the next slide and the left side to go back, hold to pause, and use the button at the end of a chapter for the next one. Three parts are written live by AI and labelled: a read of your answers, the Sky Desk and a what-if scene. The AI is told not to invent facts and can still make mistakes; if it is busy, a hand-written text appears instead and says so.
Every story was checked on 16 October 2026 against pages we opened, all listed on the first page. What witnesses said they saw is told as their account. The pictures are open-licence photos from Wikimedia Commons and our own drawings; no film stills or official art are used. Your answers stay in this browser tab and are cleared when you close it.
